Hytale is right around the corner.
At the time of this post, we’re only 38 days away from the early access release on January 13th. That’s incredible to think about considering where Hytale was just three weeks ago. No one knew whether the game was dead for good or whether its founder, Simon, was on the cusp of a breakthrough deal with Riot to buy back Hytale and restart development.
Thankfully, Simon prevailed, #HytaleWasSaved, and after a whirlwind few weeks of updates from the Hytale team, the future looks brighter than ever. So, I wanted to use this first post to talk about Hyfable’s plans for Hytale and where we see things going in the coming months and years.

Launch Day Plans
When Hytale launches on January 13th, Hyfable will launch soon after. As soon as the files are transferred and the server is configured, Hyfable will be running on a dedicated high-performance server, and it will continue running for as long as it’s technically and financially feasible.
We know how important it is to have a place you can build for the long term. Anything you create or achieve on Hyfable will be stored and accessible for many years. This community exists to give players a stable, fair place to enjoy Hytale, with a constantly evolving set of gamemodes and features.
Hyfable Gamemodes
We’re not going to pretend we have a full roadmap of minigames and custom modes before the game even ships. At launch, players will be learning the core gameplay loop, so vanilla Hytale will be the only available gamemode. We’re already planning additional modes, but it’s unclear how quickly they’ll become possible. In the meantime, we expect a steady stream of updates and improvements from the Hytale team.
In the medium to long term, we plan to take advantage of Hytale’s instanced dungeon system to create a unique RPG experience. We’ll also explore many of the most popular gamemodes from Minecraft including skyblock, factions, towny, and an economy-based survival mode. Of course, we don’t want to recycle the same old ideas. We want to put a fresh spin on things, so that will be part of the process as things develop.
Monetization
Our goal is to make Hyfable the best Hytale experience available. That requires time, hard work, and financial investment. To that end, we plan to offer players the ability to purchase perks, ranks, and in-game items or cosmetics that make sense, are fairly priced, and never provide a competitive advantage. All of this is subject to the final Hytale EULA, which we’re still waiting on.
What we won’t do:
- No pay-to-win
- No predatory monetization
- No scammy pressure tactics
Whatever we decide to offer will:
- Be clearly explained and transparent
- Respect your time, your money, and your intelligence
How You Can Get Involved Now
While we wait for launch, you can:
- Register on the forums and introduce yourself
- Share what you’d like to see from a long-term Hytale server (modes, rules, community standards, etc.)
- Check back for updates as we learn more from official Hytale announcements and refine our launch plans
Your feedback, before and after launch, will influence what this server becomes. We’re not promising to implement every idea, but we are promising to read and consider them.
Final Word
This is a new game, a new server, and a fresh start. We don’t know exactly where Hytale will go in the coming months and years, but we are fully committed to giving this project everything we have for the foreseeable future.
Thanks for being here early. Watch for follow-up announcements here or on our Discord.
